The average estimate takes about 30-40 minutes to prepare. We have complimenary coffee, tea, and soft drinks available in our reception while you wait.

I have an estimate from another bodyshop. Why is your estimate price different?

Repair estimates can vary significantly between bodyshops, and the price difference often comes down to what’s included - and what’s not.

Lower estimates may appear attractive, but they often exclude critical aspects such as:
Proper strip-down and refit procedures (e.g., fully removing and reassembling panels and trims for a seamless, lasting finish).
Use of genuine, manufacturer-approved parts that ensure compatibility and durability.
Premium paint systems that provide a perfect colour match and long-term UV resistance.
Safety-critical procedures, like front or rear wheel alignment or ADAS recalibration.
A formal guarantee backing the quality and longevity of the repair.

We also hear this a lot: “My mate can do it cheaper.” But it’s worth asking:
Are they fully insured if something goes wrong?
What recognised qualifications do they hold?

Can I get an estimate over the phone or via email?

We strongly recommend an in-person assessment of your vehicle’s damage to provide the most accurate estimate. Photos sent via email often fail to capture the full extent of the damage due to lighting and angles. However, if sending photos is your only option, we’ll do our best to accommodate and deliver an estimate as accurately as possible.

Do you repair any make or model?

Yes, we repair all makes and models of cars & small vans, anything from the 1960s (or earlier!) to the latest models.

Whether its petrol, diesel, hybrid, or electric, we’ve got you covered. While we specialise in BMWs, our expertise extends to a wide range of vehicles.

If I have an accident, my insurer stated I have to take it to one of their recommended repairers. Is this true?

No - it’s completely false. This is a common and misleading tactic used by some insurers to steer you towards their preferred repairers, often for their own cost-saving benefit, not yours.

Under UK law, you have the legal right to choose your own repairer. Your insurance company cannot force you to use their “approved” bodyshop. This is your vehicle, your property, and ultimately, your choice.

Insurance companies often imply that using their repairer is quicker, easier, or that it will affect your claim if you go elsewhere. In reality:
You can choose any repairer you trust.
It will not affect your ability to claim.
You are entitled to the same standard of service and repair, regardless of who you choose.

In fact, many insurer-approved repairers prioritise speed and cost-cutting over quality:
They may not use genuine manufacturer parts.
They may cut corners on prep, paint, or refinishing.
They may use less experienced or unqualified technicians.
Their paint match and finish often fall short of factory standards.

At our bodyshop, we work for you, not your insurer. A bodyshop labour rate isn’t just the cost of the technician's time on your car - it reflects the real cost of running a professional, fully equipped repair facility. That rate includes:
The expertise and wages of qualified, experienced technicians.
Ongoing training and certifications to stay compliant with the latest vehicle technologies.
Use of specialist tools, equipment, and diagnostics required for safe, accurate repairs.
Operation of professional spray booths, including maintenance and environmental controls.
Insurance, utilities, and compliance costs (including health and safety).
Waste disposal, paint storage, and other legal obligations.
Admin support, customer service, and warranty handling.
Investment in manufacturer-approved materials and systems, like our PPG paint technology.

Can you fit my parts?

It depends on the type of work being performed. For restorations, using customer-supplied parts is quite common. However, for standard repairs, we prefer not to use them, as we cannot guarantee the quality or proper fit of the parts to your vehicle.
